We've talked a bit about how much we love using vinegar for many and various types of cleaning.
If you think hard, you've probably heard time and again about another so-called "SUPER" cleaning product. That'd be bleach. While bleach has many uses, and when used correctly does a fine job, it is NOT a catch-all, use for everything cleaning product.
Bleach does kill germs. So when you see someone soaking plastic childrens' toys in a bucket of diluted bleach, it's doing the job right. And it absolutely will remove stains, and possibly the color, from your clothing and some other surfaces. However, it's cleaning properties have been a bit exaggerated.
Bleach isn't meant for up close and personal use. It makes a mess of your hands or any other skin with which it makes contact, and the fumes can be mildly disturbing to downright tear inducing.
Finally, mixing bleach with anything but water and the detergent in your washer can be hazardous.
So, think again before using bleach EVERYWHERE. It has its place in your clean home, but keep it's use minimized to those specific places.
